Now their answer is to radiate her body over vital organs and put her on immunotherapy until she dies. initially felt she could get rid of it all with chemo. They believe that she is having a mixed reaction to the chemo and it isn't working as well as they had hoped it would. After she had a full emergency hysterectomy, the surgeon couldn't get it all or she would have to be in a colostomy bag for the rest of her life.Īs of her recent CT scan, everything was shrinking but 2 of the lymph nodes. She has done 5 of 6 rounds of traditional chemo.
She has studied health and cancer for a long time and many of us believe this is just a part of her journey and once she gets through this, she can go on to help others struggling with a diagnosis. Most of her friends consider her to be the healthiest person they know and yet this happened to her anyway. She loves to help people set up gardens, learn about health and wellness and raising chickens. Kristen is a wife, dog mom, chicken mom, wellness coach, daughter, friend and a leader in many areas.
